Paddy McDermott is owner/director of Baxnmax ltd, providing business development and change management support to start-ups, SMEs and multinational subsidiaries around Ireland. (He represents the HBAN Medtech syndicate on the board of Mirai). He has over 30 years of leadership experience, managing global functions in multicultural environments. He ultimately spent 5 years as President and Chief Innovation Officer of Transitions Optical, part of the Essilor Luxottica group and based in the west of Ireland. His origins are in engineering but he has worked across operations, supply-chain, commercial, strategic marketing, and research environments in the course of his career.
